The 2026 Scholarship season has opened at Charlotte Community Foundation (CCF) for applicants and donors to impact the pursuit of higher education at all levels—from working adults to traditional age students and from certificate/trade programs through graduate programs by local residents. Applicants have until 4:59 pm December 31, 2025 to apply online at charlottecf.org/scholarships. One application covers all the awards available for current or future students. As nearly half of the scholarships are for studying health care at all levels, CCF is also recruiting community members with a background in health care to add to the robust committee. Interested reviewers can contact scholarships@charlottecf.org for more details on the volunteer timeframe, which begins mid-January 2026.

The Charlotte CARE Center having a Holiday Food Drive again this year for needy families for distribution at Thanksgiving and Christmas. We expect to see more families and individuals in need due to inflation costs. We are currently feeding a little over 1600 neighbors per WEEK through our food pantry. The Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce is a drop off location for the drive. We appreciate your donation of non perishable items-stuffing mix, canned vegetables, instant potatoes, canned pie filling, cake mixes, biscuit/cornbread mix - you get the idea.
