A team approach to cancer care. Many cancer patients are now treated with a combination of therapies, including surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy or stem cell treatments. That means those patients also rely on a team of clinicians working collaboratively to guide their care. Treatment plans often include a radiation oncologist, surgeon and medical oncologist, along with primary care, and a range of technicians, specialists and support staff working behind the scenes. Together, they share one goal: guiding patients through treatment and toward better health.
